What are tags?


Tags in the Nutickets system serve as keywords that enable event and article categorisation.


The primary purpose of Tags is most evident in the event and article blocks found when creating website pages. When creating listing blocks, users are prompted to choose which events or articles should be displayed within them.


But tags also have an additional function as a filtering and search option for both admin users and customers exploring the "Ticketshop" website.


Among the available options, users can select to showcase events associated with a specific Tag or Tags. For instance, an event block can be configured to only display events tagged as "Dining," ensuring that all dining events are grouped together for easy access.

How to create Tags


There are two ways to set up Tags: either on the "Tags" page or directly on an event.


To set up a Tag directly on an event, follow these steps in the admin portal:


  • Navigate to "View Events" and select the event that requires tagging.

  • On the event page, click on "Event Details" and scroll down to the "Tags" section.

  • Click on the pencil icon.

  • Click on "+ New Tag..." and start typing the desired tag.


As you type, any existing Tags will appear in a drop-down menu. If the Tag already exists, select it from the drop-down menu.


If the Tag doesn't exist and needs to be added, continue typing the full Tag and press enter. This will create a new Tag.


In addition to setting up Tags for specific events, you can also configure Tags for the entire company.




How to manage tags


To manage all Tags, follow these steps in the admin portal:


  • In the menu, select "Events" and then "Tags."

  • This page will display all the tags that have been created for the company.

  • To create a new tag, click on the "+ Add New Tag" button.

  • Enter the desired name for the tag.

  • Click "Submit" to save the changes.








How to create a Tag Category


To manage Tag categories, follow these steps:


  • On the Tags page, click on the "Tag Categories" button - This will display all the Tag categories created for the company.

  • To create a new Tag category, click on the "+ Add new category" button.

  • Enter the desired name for the Tag category.

  • If necessary, enable the "Is mandatory" toggle - when enabled, users will be required to select at least one Tag from this category during event creation.

  • If applicable, add any pre-existing Tags to the category.

  • Click "Submit" to save the changes.



What are tag categories?


Tag categories serve as a useful organisational tool for admin users to group tags into specific categories. This is an additional option available for the benefit of businesses deploying a large number of tags.


It's important to note that Tag categories are not visible to customers interacting with the "Ticketshop" website. They are exclusively for administrative purposes.





How to use your tags


Once tags are created and assigned to events, the option to create event listing blocks using tags becomes an excellent way to showcase your events.
