How to customise your event page

Modified on Thu, 7 Nov at 3:52 PM

This guide will detail how to customise your event page. This can be used to add promotional material, additional information or imagery to your event page.

Before configuring event settings, you first need to set up an event, click here to learn how to do this. Whilst not necessary in order to customise the page, we also recommend creating your first ticket, the process for which is detailed in this guide here.

Event Customisation

Once your event is created, all event customisation options can be found by clicking "Customise event page" next to the event title at the top of the event dashboard:

From here, most aspects of the event page can be customised to your liking. The first set of customisation options appears at the top of the page preview:

To edit any of these settings, click the pencil icon. These options are as follows:

Event Subheading - Add a subheading that appears underneath the event name when published.

Event Date & Time Display - These options allow you to edit the way in which dates and times are displayed on your event page. Each drop-down will offer a variety of date & time display options.

Event location display - Set whether or not the full location for your venue is displayed, or hide venue details altogether.

Event Pricing Display - This setting allows great control over the pricing displayed to the customer. The options for customisation are as follows:

  • Display pricing information in the event header - Choose if the pricing range display is shown or not
  • Show price when free - When only free items are available, this toggle allows you to hide the price range at the top of the event page
  • Please select which item types will display pricing - This allows fine-tuned control over what sale item types appear in the price range display
  • Pricing fee display - Select whether or not prices in this range display with fees or not
  • Pricing tax display - Select whether or not prices in this range display with tax or not
  • Include hidden off-sale items in price range - If an item is set to off-sale or hidden, it will not be included in the price range when enabled

Purchase button messaging - This setting allows you to fully customise the purchase button's call to action:

Adding Event Blocks

In addition to the above customisation options, you can also add a series of "Event Blocks" to add extra text, images or video. To do this:

1. Scroll to the bottom of the customisation page

2. Click "Add block":

3. Choose from the following event block options:

Text Block - Add additional text to your event listing page

Image Block - Add an image or series of images to your event page. You can also choose from a series of layout options for your event images. To upload images, click "Add image".

Video Block - Add a video to your event listing page. To add a video, you just need to provide the video URL (accepted video hosts are YouTube and Vimeo).

Events Block - This allows you to select a series of related events that you have created to be displayed on your event listing page.

Social Block - This block allows you to add links to your relevant social media pages.

Note: the social media links are set under "Website > Legal & marketing > Socials & Sharing". For further info on how to configure this, PLACEHOLDER LINK, PLEASE REPLACE

4. Once you have selected a block and populated it with the relevant information, click "Save Block"

5. You can now position your block using the hand icon in the top right-hand corner of the block. There are also controls to edit the block and delete the block if needed:

Once you are happy with the layout of your event page, click "Publish Changes" to publish the new event page.
