Order Distribution

Modified on Mon, 4 Dec, 2023 at 3:48 PM

This guide covers how order distribution can be used by end-users to quickly and easily large amounts of tickets with others.

Order distribution automatically kicks in when an order is created for 5 or more tickets.

Distribution

In order for a customer to distribute their order, they must do the following:

1. Log into their account

2. Click on “Your Profile” and then go to “Orders”

3. From “Orders”, orders of 5 or more tickets can be selected for distribution. Upon clicking on the order, there is an option above the order items to “Distribute”:

4. Click “Distribute”. From here, the customer can set a total number of claimable items and how many tickets each individual can claim:

5. Once the customer is happy with the parameters set, they will be presented with a pop-up that gives them three options for sharing. They are:

  • Pass code - This option generates a link to the order that claimants can visit, along with a pass code that needs to be entered in order for the claimant to secure their ticket(s)
  • URL - This option is similar to a pass code, however, the link will allow the claimant to secure a ticket without having to enter a pass code
  • QR code - This option generates a unique QR code that allows claimants to secure a ticket upon scanning

Note: In order for a claimant to be able to claim their ticket(s), they will need to create an account on the platform. They will be prompted to log in or create an account as a part of the claiming process.

Once claimants start claiming the allocation set by the customer, this will be reflected in their customer account under “Orders > Distribute”

The sharing method can be changed at any time, again by going to the order via “My Profile > Orders > Distribute > Share Distribution” and selecting a different option.

Claiming

Tickets are claimed slightly differently depending on the sharing method. Each ticket claiming flow is detailed below:

Pass code

1. As a claimant, enter the URL distribution URL into the browser’s search bar

2. When the page loads, there is an input for the passcode. This must be provided to progress

3. Once the code has been entered, the claimable ticket will be presented to the claimant with a prompt for them to “Log in/Register”

4. In order to finish claiming the tickets, the claimant should log in or create an account with the platform

5. Once logged in, the claimant will be given the option to “Claim“ to secure their ticket

URL

When claiming via URL, the process is the same as the above, with the notable exception of having to enter a passcode. All other steps remain the same.

QR

Again, the process is the same as the above, however, the claimant needs to scan the QR code to be taken to the claim item URL.
