Release 30

Improved visibility of access control stats in zones

Efficient event management hinges on real-time statistics and insights for access control staff.

This release empowers your access control team with improved visibility and control over attendance information in zones.

With a birds-eye view into attendance trends in specific zones, your staff gains the vision they need to see around corners. As crowds build in the expo hall, they'll have the foresight to proactively open extra entrances. When lines start to swell outside the main event, they'll have the insights to divert flow to less busy areas.

In the world of events, conditions change moment to moment. Success lies in anticipating needs rather than reacting.

This release delivers that predictive power with real time zone analytics to ensure a secure and smooth experience for all attendees.

You should ensure that you update to the latest versions of Access Control Pro on iOS, Android, and Sunmi to gain access to this feature.

Asynchronous API requests

In the traditional approach to making API requests, it can feel as though you're perpetually caught at a red light, idling and waiting for permission to proceed.

Requests can sometimes force you into a standstill, halting your workflow as you await the signal to continue.

Enter asynchronous API requests, a more efficient way to interact with our API.

By passing an asynchronous request header, your API requests will be processed in the background.

You can track any request's progress by periodically polling the server, effectively eliminating the risk of request timeouts.

This update opens up new possibilities for our partners ensuring faster response times and improved scalability, making it possible to achieve more with less waiting.

Global user roles

We've all felt the drain of those repetitive, mind-numbing tasks that seem to take up more time than they should. Managing user roles was one such task.

So, with global roles, we're streamlining the entire process.

You create a set of common use cases just once, and these become your global roles.

These are the templates from which you can quickly assign roles to new companies joining your platform.

The beauty of this is not just in its simplicity, but in its speed. New clients can be onboarded fast, diving straight into selling tickets without the extra step.

It’s a classic win-win.

Your clients can hit the ground running and your team doesn't get stuck in groundhog day.

Default company admin roles

Until now, the default setting for new company admins was somewhat of a blunt instrument – a one-size-fits-all Administrator role.

It was straightforward, yes, but in its simplicity, it overlooked the nuances and diversity of needs that different organisations have.

With the latest update, the platform now allows for any of the global roles to be set as the default for newly created company admins.

We’ll even honour the selected role for any company users created via the partners API.

This means that instead of being automatically assigned the full suite of administrator privileges, new admins can start with a role that's more closely aligned with their actual responsibilities and needs.

The idea stemmed from a series of feedback sessions and deep dives into how companies interact with our platform.

We want to continue to remove these walls between users and the tools they need to do their jobs. It’s our end goal to ensure every interaction users have with the system is purposeful and optimised for their specific role.

Automated invoicing controls

Building on the success of our automated invoicing system for offline and uncollected fees, we've rolled out a series of new controls to further ease your financial workflows.

In this update we have introduced:

  • Default invoicing state that can be set at the reseller level and automatically extends to all linked companies.

  • The ability to specify payment terms allowing users to define the invoicing frequency, choosing between monthly or weekly cycles.

  • Option to include custom payment instructions or notes at the bottom of each invoice, enhancing communication and clarity in financial transactions.

Recognizing the critical role that efficient financial processes play in the success of any organisation, we're excited to include further updates to our automated invoicing system.

These are the kind of updates that will make you wonder how you ever got by without them.

We'll continue to simplify the day to day operations that underpin your business, so you can focus on what you do best.

Account balance payments

You know how it goes after an event wraps up. Attendees are left with e-wallet balances still with a few bucks left in there.

Most of the time, they forget about it or just can't be bothered to spend what's left. Money, just sitting there, wasted.

Now, those e-wallets aren't just for the day of the event. They've been upgraded to work every day, for anything.

Attendees can spend their leftover cash on anything from a new event ticket to a piece of merchandise in your ticketshop.

This development lays the foundations for future developments around self service refunds, gift voucher redemption, and loyalty points all coming up soon.

These series of developments are focused on transforming how attendees interact with your events, turning a one-off transaction into an ongoing relationship.

This feature is a preview release. Please speak with your CSE to discuss gaining access.

Fulfilment fees

The flexibility and convenience of ticket delivery can enhance the attendee experience significantly.

Whether your attendees prefer to collect their tickets from the box office, download them digitally, or have them delivered by post, each delivery method carries its own cost implication.

These costs, if not carefully managed, can eat into your bottom line.

Our system has been updated to allow you to customise these fulfilment fees.

In the admin event organisers will now have a process for marking items as fulfilled or changing the fulfilment type.

Event organisers will now find a feature in the admin panel that enables marking items as fulfilled or altering the type of fulfilment.
