Deposits via the API
In the previous release, we saw the great success of our deposit payment functionality in the box office and shop. It allowed our ticket sellers to slash barriers to purchase and boost their sales. So today, we’re extending this capability to our API. Now our integrators can accept deposit payments directly from their custom solutions and booking journeys. This API, gives you the power to handle both the initial deposit and the final balance payment right within your own ecosystem. So, whether you've built a sophisticated ticketing system or you're integrating with another platform, our API's deposit functionality offers you the control to enhance your customers' purchasing journey. After all, more payment options mean happier customers, and happier customers mean more sales. Unlock new possibilities and extend the range of payment options for your customers, today.
Refund to account balance
Imagine this: your customer needs a refund. Instead of waiting days for the money to hit their bank account, they get instant credit into their account. This update introduces the ability to refund orders directly to account balances, offering customers immediate access to their funds for future event purchases. And this is just the start— Soon, those same balances can be also used on other in-person sales channels too. Not only does this provide an instant refund for customers, but it retains the funds within your ecosystem. This seamless refund experience not only enhances customer retention but also simplifies administrative tasks, saving you time and resources.
Self-service refunds
We've just made life a whole lot easier for your customers (and you). With our new self-service refunds, customers can manage their own refunds without bothering your support team. Event organizers can set up rules for when self-refunds are allowed. Once set up, customers can initiate and complete refunds on their own. This feature fits nicely alongside refunds to account balances. Think about it: A customer can refund their order, the money goes straight into their account balance, ready to be spent on another event or date that suits them better. Instead of reaching out to you and waiting for a response, they can handle it all by themselves. No hassle, no delays, just pure convenience. With self-service refunds, providing exceptional customer service has never been easier.
Discounts using net prices
If you're working with customers globally, you know the tax nightmare all too well. One major pain point that many of our event organisers have faced is the frustration caused by trying to provide discounts after taxes have been applied. Today, we wave goodbye to that tangled mess of calculations. From now, our partners are able to apply discounts based on net sales prices. No more tax complications muddying the waters! You can now apply discounts to just the baseline price of your offer. No more trying to reverse-engineer taxes into the discount. Whether you want to run a flash sale, reward loyal customers, or just test price elasticity...this makes it stupid simple.
Tax exclusive pricing inputs
Let's be honest—taxes are a pain. Nobody loves dealing with them. But when they start messing with your day-to-day, it gets even more annoying. Everyone has their own way of handling taxes—partners, companies, users, you name it. Some prefer to keep taxes included in their prices, while others like them separate. So, in this release, we're helping you choose which works best for you. We’ve shipped a company level setting that controls whether input prices are inclusive or exclusive of taxes. Pair this with our existing features—like displaying ticket shop prices exclusive of taxes, our reverse charge and conditional tax functionality, and advanced tax calculation mechanisms. Together, these are the keys to handling tax-exclusive pricing for customers all around the globe. Go ahead, take charge of your pricing and let us handle the tax headaches. You're in good hands.
